Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS)

At Michigan Online School, our Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) is a comprehensive framework designed to integrate academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and mental health supports to meet the diverse needs of all students. We are committed to continuously refining and adapting our services to swiftly identify and address the needs of each learner, ensuring that every student has access to the resources he or she requires to succeed.

MTSS is grounded in the belief that every student should have access to a rigorous, grade-level curriculum while recognizing that some students may need additional, targeted support at various times. For a few students, more intensive interventions may be necessary to foster success in the most inclusive and equitable learning environment alongside their peers.

At Michigan Online School, we provide specialized support through certified Academic Interventionists in English Language Arts (English Language Arts) and Math, from kindergarten through 12th grade. These interventions are designed to complement, not replace, the grade-level curriculum, ensuring that all students receive the support they need to thrive academically. Our certified intervention team works closely with students to deliver targeted, personalized support that aligns with each student’s individual learning needs.
